The Mets are calling up 21-year-old shortstop Amed Rosario to make his major-league debut on Tuesday against the Rockies, general manger Sandy Alderson announced Monday.
Rosario was batting .328/.367/.466 with seven homers and 19 steals in 94 games with Triple-A Las Vegas. His promotion and the failure to trade infielder Asdrubal Cabrera before Monday’s trade deadline could lead to the Mets making revocable trade waiver deals in August.
