Darren McFadden thinks Cowboys ‘wouldn’t mind keeping’ him

The untimely injury paved the way for Ezekiel Elliott to have a breakout rookie season and become the team’s featured rusher, so the veteran should expect to be Dallas’ third option Cheap Gaa Jerseys behind Elliott and Alfred Morris if McFadden is offered a deal.

“For me, I still feel fresh. … I didn’t get a lot of wear and tear on my body from the season. I only played in the last three regular season games and the playoff game,” McFadden said. “I feel like I have a lot that I can offer any team as far as being out there and a guy that can carry the load. I don’t feel like I’ve lost a step at all. I feel like that any team that wants to take a shot at me I don’t think it’d be a bad deal for ’em.”

McFadden, who turns 30 in August, spent his first seven seasons in Oakland after being selected fourth overall by the Raiders in the 2008 NFL Draft. Although he recorded just 24 rushing attempts for 87 yards in 2016, he finished the 2015 season with 239 attempts for 1,089 yards.

Victor Cruz is starting to consider his future outside New York.

According to Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review, the veteran wide receiver visited the Panthers this weekend and met with general manager Dave Gettleman.

Although a deal is not imminent, Cruz could still be considered by Carolina as one of Cam Newton’s new targets in 2017. The free agent is also expected to have at least one other team visit scheduled before he’s permitted to sign a contract at the start of the new league year on March 9.

Cruz, who was released by the Giants on Feb. 13, had two seasons left on his contract with New York and was set to count $9.4 million against the salary cap in 2017. The team also released Rashad Jennings, their leading rusher in 2016, to save $10 million of cap space by dropping the two contracts.
