Jon Dorenbos’ heart surgery went well, former coach Doug Pederson says

Eagles coach Doug Pederson announced some good news during his press conference Wednesday.

The president, who earlier Sunday had tweeted that fans should boycott the NFL if the league didn’t crack down on national anthem protests, apparently liked some of what he saw Sunday, specifically the players standing in solidarity.

The president tweeted, “Great solidarity for our National Anthem and for our Country. Standing with locked arms is good, kneeling is not acceptable. Bad ratings!”

There were some unprecedented moments during pregame ceremonies before the 1 p.m. games. All of the Pittsburgh Steelers, with the exception of lineman Alejandro Villanueva, a U.S. Army veteran and Bronze Star recipient, stayed in the locker room during the national anthem at Soldier Field. Several NFL owners joined their players on the field in a show of support.

But time expired before the Giants could get the snap off and a delay of game penalty was called. The Giants settled for a field goal, the last points they would score in a 24-10 loss.

McAdoo was upset with quarterback Eli Manning, a 14-year veteran, four-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl MVP, and was openly critical of Manning after the game.

Manning was sacked five times and hit another eight times as the Lions harrassed him the entire game. He finished 22 of 32 for 239 yards with a touchdown and interception.

“I didn’t like the interception,” McAdoo said. “It happened fast for him. I thought he should’ve went to No. 2 or checked the ball down. He was under duress all night, thought he did some New York Jets Cheap Jerseys good things in the pocket, making some plays under duress, but the whole NFL Jerseys Outlet offense needs work.”
