Bruce Arians: Carson Palmer won’t throw much this offseason

Don’t expect Carson Palmer to get much throwing in this offseason.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians told reporters Friday at the team’s first rookie minicamp practice that his starting quarterback likely won’t throw until the end of the offseason work in an effort to keep his arm fresh for the regular season.

“I feel it will feel better [Monday],” Miller said, via ESPN. “I don’t think it is that big of an issue. Just one of gross things that flares up when you are out there.”

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo acknowledged Miller’s slump but praised his performance so far this season and is hopeful the injury won’t hold back the five-year veteran for long.

“These are tough things for me to address. It is really unfortunate,” Lovullo said. “Shelby has been throwing the ball really well. This is a minor setback for him, but, numbers aside, you just hate to have a situation like this pop up.”

Miller, 26, ERA rose to 4.09 after Sunday, though it’s still better than the 6.15 ERA he posted in 20 starts last season.

“I’ve been in the public eye the last 24 hours,” Vincent, the NFL’s executive vice president of football operations, said with a laugh on a conference call Thursday discussing next week’s competition committee meetings in Phoenix.

Vincent got torched by Bennett and other players over his Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale tweet about a video put together to show players what on-field celebrations are and are not “appropriate.” Bennett in particular said what he preferred to do rather than watch the video.
